Leavenworth area
« on: August 25, 2016, 05:21:17 PM »
I'm not working and the gf is out of town for the weekend so for once I have a Sunday all to myself. Was thinking about changing my scenery up a little and heading east for bear. I'm not looking for honey holes or your favorite spot but it would be much appreciated if I could get a little direction. I've never hunted easy of the cascades. I know leavenworth is surrounded by national forest but perhaps a general area or fs road that are known to produce. Any specific Eastside tactics? I'm fit so walking, hiking isn't too big of an issue. I will be solo however.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I heard on KPQ (Wenatchee) radio last night on the way east, that both of those roads were closed due to fire danger. Might want to check first before heading there.
