I hunted a few spots relatively close to HWY 3 north of Shelton last weekend, just because I was up there already.  The entire area suffers from being too close to humanity. Backyard deer are common.  Deer in the woods seem to be completely nocturnal right now.  West of there should be better.

Tons of open Green Diamond land around Shelton but, there are no deer around Shelton.
