Anyone have the Caldwell lead sled plus rest?
« on: August 31, 2016, 08:19:02 PM »
Ordered one from Cabelas. Curious what everyone who has one thinks of them. I'll only be using this to sight in rifles each year. What do you like/not like about this product?

I had issues with my rifle after sighting in with the lead sled and then shooting from a rest without it. Meaning I would shoot dead center every time with the sled and then be way off shooting without it from the bench with a rest. Make sure you shoot without it before calling it dialed in.

Ive had mine for several yrs. great for the new shooters, and for sighting in the heavy mag's.
I use mine for testing loads, and a great advantage it has been.  However one should always shoot for final assessment 2 b sure it's dead nuts for the shooter.
which has already been posted.  The only thing I don't like is the screw adj are a little loose for my tastes.

It's definetly good for getting the magnums close and then fine tuning after that. Helped with my 338 RCM. Kicks like a mule for sure
