congratulations! I know a lot of planning and hard work went into this hunt.  Really cool that it paid off and the family could all share in the experience.  it's sheep meat tonight!
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

What a great experience to share that with your whole family.  You are good kids.

My dad wants to do a pedestal mount and I didn't want to Cape it on the steep hill. So we cut him below the ribs and put the big piece on my nephews back.

I will get the whole story up as soon as I can.  Tomorrow my dad and i will take him to Burns to have him pinned.  He's a 5 year old ram. Not the biggest. But I bet the biggest shot by a 78 year old in OR this year.  Then I head to WA to start archery Elk hunting.

Congrats to all of you.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
