Got a few grouse
« on: September 04, 2016, 05:39:55 PM »
I spent a couple of days at my cabin up the Twisp River over the opener - I got a limit on the opener and a pair the next day - Just walking the old road above the cabin with the 410

Love it. Those single shots put a lot of grouse in the pot.

I use that same kinda single shot for grouse/rabbit hunting as well! I love how light, and easy it is to pack around. I've shot a couple ducks with that type of gun as well. Good job on the grouse, I need to get out looking for those soon.

I seen a bunch of Blues and Ruff Grouse this past weekend up around Bonaparte Lake Resort area.
I shoot three ruff and one Blue.  Boy they were spooky, I think they have been shot at for a while.
Three better that nothing.

Also seen I bet a hundred if not more deer both Mulelies and Whitetails.

Nice.
That looks like a H&R .410
I got one for Christmas when I was 12. I have used it for over 40 years on all types of critters. Now my teenage boys shoot it. Great gun!
