My dad had 2 days that he could hunt and try to fill his Palouse buck tag. We headed over on Wednesday morning. Once on the property we started gassing the usual pockets that hold deer. With the freezing rain that was coming down, the deer were hunkered down pretty good. The rain finally passed by and the sun popped out around 1030. By 11 o'clock k we had spotted one buck that was a ways out. Then this buck came cruising in looking for a girlfriend. Dad put him down with a shot to the neck at about 150 yards.
I only have 2 more hunts to join in on for the remainder of my hunting season. My wife has a late Greyback buck tag that we are going to try and fill tomorrow. Then I'm taking a buddy to the Idaho panhandle to try and put him on a WT buck.
