Game Processing Cle Elum
« on: September 07, 2016, 04:45:05 PM »
Does anyone have any recommendations where to process game around Cle Elum? We usually hunt near Yakima and have gone to Nile before however, I would rather not drive out that far if I don't have to. Thanks!

Call Owens meats, they are on the east side of town.

Google is your friend.
I came up with 22 returns first try.
Or if you're on your way home. Fischers in Issaquah does decent work.
Not a big fan of their sausage though.
One shot. One kill!

Thanks. I already googled however, I was looking for a place that someone recommended.

Erickson custom meats in Ellensburg does great work. There's also a butcher  at the super 1 foods here in town that does game on the side at his house but can't remember his name right now.

Fischer meats in Issaquah has done thee animals for me and have done a really good job. They'll do ground, jerky, summer sausage, pepperoni sticks, and regular sausage. The only thing I haven't done is summer sausage, never been a fan.

My friend had an elk butchered by a guy who works at Owen's in Cle Elum, can't think of his name but you could call and ask if they could roccomend anyone, that's how my friend got in contact with him. He mixed in bacon fat in the ground he did for my friend, excellent! Has just the slightest hit of smoke to it!

Good luck!
My interpretation of the rules are open to interpretation.
Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

No experience on stuff like that but I've had beef and pigs from him and it was good stuff. Sorry man wish I could be of more help, hopefully this modern season I'll be taking an animal there and can let you know. I have had pep sticks from honest cut meats on vantage hwy in Ellensburg at the farmers market this year and that stuff was darn good. Haven't had any cutting done though.
