Meat locker around Asotin
« on: September 08, 2016, 11:47:31 AM »
Elk hunting the lick creek unit again this year (muzzleloader).  I shot my spike within the first couple of days last year and had to run almost halfway to Pomeroy to find a meat locker since the weather was too warm to leave him hanging the rest of the week.  My buddy and I drew cow tags this year and I'm looking to find someone that may have a locker around the area.  From where we hunt to the locker last year (Wilson Banner Ranch) took a half a day away from being in the woods.  The meat locker in Clarkston does not hang wild game anymore.  Any info on if there is anything closer would be great! Thanks!

There's a meat locker at the Last Resort down on the Tucannon. On the off chance you're hunting off of the 40 road, it's not a bad drive but it's on the opposite side of the unit from Asotin. Good people down there.
It might be a shorter drive down there from where ever you'll be I guess. There's a road off of the Mountain/40 Road that will take you to the Blind Grade. Blind Grade takes you down to the Tucannon and the last resort is immediately on your left at the bottom of the grade. The name of the road off of the mountain road escapes me. Sorry.

4 friends meat market in Clarkston.  They do good work.
A bad day out hunting is better than a good day at work!
