Regs Question
« on: September 12, 2016, 12:08:27 PM »
So I killed an elk no Saturday, but will be running around in the woods with my partner for the rest of the season. I will dig into the regs, but is there something that says I can't carry a bow with me since I no longer have a tag in my pocket?

Thanks,
LF

Do you have a archery deer tag bear or cougar?

If you don't have any tags to fill why would you want to?

The simple answer is "no". The more complicated answer is that you can't hunt without appropriate documentation in your possession including a recreational license and a harvest tag if applicable. If stopped and questioned, can you convince the enforcement officer you weren't hunting?

You can no problem at all.

I still hunt grouse after i have tagged out, and yes with my bow..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Thanks for the responses.

I don't have any other valid tags, but was thinking I could bring blunts for grouse hunting or look into getting a bear or cougar tag (I already have my deer tag).

The main reason for bringing my bow is that my partner could use it as a backup if something happened to his. We have 7 more days of hunting and I would like to have it close by, but don't really want to leave it in the truck.
