There has to be someone that can chime in on how to be a Master Baiter and get this one thrown into off topics.

There, I said it, that's out of the way.

Close, master baiters know that you can get more apples in each 5 gallon bucket if you cut the apples in half or in quarters.  The deer appreciate it more as well.  Not that I am admitting to being a master baiter, I'm just sayin'

You've got more than 10 gallons. The Bait Police have been contacted.  :chuckle:

At least I have a pic of the perpetrator to be sent to the clink for life without patrol for such an offense. :chuckle:

Seriously....this topic comes up at LEAST 4-5 times every year. Does anybody ever consider using the search function?

Maybe I should start another thread asking the same thing on this topic so it at LEAST comes up 5-6 times this year, knowing now that it bothers you..   :hello:

It doesn't really bother me....It just amazes me how many times the topic gets discussed. BTW- Are mechanical broad heads legal in Washington?

Could you imagine a topic discussing baiting, hunting out of treestands using mechanical broadheads and lighted nocks all at the same time?

I am amazed that the search function seems to be ignored on all kinds of subjects.  One of my suggestions to make this forum better is some kind of organised best of threads on a subject.

There are several automotive type forums I frequent my current favorite is jeepforum.com some one took the time to add great posts in an organised manner to categories that were especially informative or complete DYI instructional. Something like that here could be done as well. Possibly a "best of" for each category of hunting. I think that forum is so well organised with information I haven't had to ask any questions, & I've used it to do lots of mods to my xj and trouble shoot problems.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

The only problem with not asking any questions is we'd pretty much become a library instead of a discussion forum.

I get that, but we both know that there is some awesome knowledge and experience that has been shared and preserved on here. Some people will always been to lazy to look for it. My point is that it would be great to highlight the best of the best.

I also like to read C/Ling best of from time to time for a chuckle.

Wait we can hunt out of treestands? Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm thinking about starting a small food plot for blacktails. I plan on hunting the archery season. What baits should I use? Can I hunt on the islands?
