Any Experience Calling?
« on: September 14, 2016, 08:24:02 AM »
Looking for an experienced caller who might be free this weekend. I've always hunted w a partner for elk. I was working with my buddy this last weekend and we had several opportunities on animals. I'm afraid without having someone calling with me I will have difficulty putting an animal down.

So I'm asking for any advice solo hunting for elk or seeing if someone wants to come try and put a bull down in Peaches.

Finding animals is not a problem.

Meat included lol

When you're  close never bugle/call directly at them. Always try to throw your sound behind you or down a draw to the side. You don't want them to pin you down. Or you can call and move up if the terrain allows. Calling solo is tougher but it does have some advantages.   :twocents:

Get a Phelps EZ Estrus call and you're good to go.
