You only turn 40 once, my time is coming
« on: September 14, 2016, 09:35:19 AM »
So, friends, family,  and probably a few random strangers are getting together on Nov 19th, roughly from 6 to 8 at Skookum Brewing in Smokey Point. Ive never really been one for parties and hoopla when it comes to my own birtdays but ive decided to go for it a bit this time around. So, if you need an excuse to go get a beer, maybe talk hunting, share some stories and have a beer then bring your dog and come on out.

Maybe I can make this one and avoid the flu!  I'm planning on being there, hopefully with some stories of this year's success!

Happy early Bday.  I will be in late archery deer camp  :( wish I could make it.  Have a great time, sorry I have to miss it.  Would have been nice to meet face to face.  Hopefully you will have a good huntwa turnout.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I plan to be there.  I'm still in the woods with limited bandwidth now though so no pix.  I'll be able to share a story about how a guy fresh out of knee surgery with a walking stick was able to get on a pretty decent bull.  Luckily he has hunt camp partners that we're there to quarter and pack the bull out...

Will there be clowns?  :chuckle:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Since I live 2 miles away, I'll swing in and meet a few people - thanks for the invite.
