Definitely not true. For myself I took up bike racing at 40. Pushed myself past goal after goal for 10 years. 17 years later, new goals and nothing going downhill yet as I get closer to 60.

Oh that?  You are right, grey hair coming and dog gone it if I didn't need reading glasses two months after turning 40.  After my lasic surgery I thought no more glasses.  Doctor crushed my dreams when he said I would need readers right around forty.  I thought no way but he was right.

You also bruise way easier and it takes a lot longer to recover from a fall or tweaking your back.

There's a couple of other things but they have slipped my mind as well.

I think we need another party for those hitting 50 this year.  I will be in December.  This party should be at a place like Perkins, with coffee, egg whites, and whole wheat toast, and a bathroom close buy for the old guys who have to make frequent visits.  Believe me, it only goes downhill after 40.

I made 50 in July.  I would also support a get together for that.  50 hasn't been gentle to me so it deserves to be recognized.  LOL...
