I'm looking at a new area of forest roads. Boots on the ground.
Does it make sense to scout a new area in the afternoon?
Are the grouse active all day or only at mornings and nights?

last week I was seeing them in the early morning, then again starting around 230.
but that's my only experience grouse hunting, so take it for what its worth lol.

If things are moist from dew, they seem to come out later when things dry out.
