I just bought a Browning BLR in .308 this year to hunt deer on the east side. First time for me, always been a bolt action guy.

.32 special in picture and I also take out my BLR on some hunts.   Round two on moose with the .32 is about to start... Less than a month.

Nice!

I've got an old Model 94 .30-30 that was the first gun my grandmother bought for my grandfather, I'd like to use that some time.  It has an original side mount with a 4X Weaver on it.

I hunted with a model 94 .30-30 for years in NH and killed a lot of deer with it. Lever with open sights is great for thick woods and brush.

I used to hunt a lot of bear and used a Marlin 1895SS in 45/70.  Most of my buddies used Marlins in 35 Rem.  They worked quite well.  Mine had a Redfield peep on it.

My dad always hunted WT with his .35 Rem, not sure if he still uses it though.

Four years ago i got a 3pt whitetail with my dads Browning blr in 358 and last year i hunted the general season with my Winchester 1886 light rifle in 45-70 i didn't get anything with that so i took my Marlin 336 ss in 30-30 and shot a spike whitetail in the northeast corner durlng the late season.

I've got a 1895 gbl in 45/70 that I love. Never had a firearm ice enjoyed carrying as much as this one. Sending a 350g hornady flat point at about 2100 fps equals some pretty serious knockdown power.

I put on a good recoil pad, and a peep sight. I'll probably end up with another 1895, but the all weather version. Love the looks of that gun.

Ended up not getting to schedule a modern hunt this year but my plan was to use my old man's model 99 savage in 300. I will be next year though.
