Duck hunting ellensburg area
« on: October 02, 2016, 05:08:50 PM »
Just moved to ellensburg with my mom from western Washington. Specifically skagit county. Anyway I am wondering if your allowed to hunt the bank of the Yakima river for ducks. Like on BLM or state land. Don't wanna drive to potholes every weekend if I don't have too. And thanks for any feedback, it's much appreciated. Don't want any specific spots or anyone else's honey hole, just want to know what is allowed or doable in the ellensburg area.

Better off going to the potholes. Hard to find public areas in Eburg that hold much waterfowl.

You can, I hunted the river occasionally when I lived there. Ellensburg is right though, not a bunch of birds holding along the river most of the time.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

How's about Vantage. That's not too far.
Lead em if they're running.
