Wow I've nicked the guts before but never had that happen. I for sure will be more careful this year cause I guarantee this video will pop into my head. I agree the gutless method is good but sometimes circumstances work out better for a quick gut and come back type of deal. I make my call depending on how long I think its gonna take to pack out. I do like the lack of blood involved with the gutless for sure.

Hilarious! Reminds me of the first time I gutted a deer as a teenager in the 70s. While bent over under lantern light I nicked the gut sack and a stream of hot putrid gas hit me square in the face as I was inhaling. Thought of that while field dressing every animal since!
