GPS map chips advise
« on: September 17, 2016, 12:09:11 PM »
I bought a Garmin 64st and I want to buy a chip for Wyoming and WA. My main reason is property boundaries. Which maps should I consider. I did a little reading on the OnyX maps (however it's spelled) and they look pretty good. Am I right in that they have private vs. Public land boundaries? Are there other thing I should look for? These GPS units have changed so much since I had one last I can't even believe it. Tell me about these map chips and what features to look for and who makes the best ones.

THANKS!!! :hello:

You want the onXmap chips. They show public/private.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Yep the state specific map chips will show private vs public and are generally pretty accurate. However property does change hands and they do update there chips. The updates will run you 30.00. I have the the 64s. Its been a great unit.

Garmin has there own but they don't hold a candle to onx maps.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

Onxmaps seems to be the way to go.  Been on the list for awhile.  Sounds like they have a lot of great layers others dont have and accuracy seems to be the best from what I have read.

ONXMaps here as well. They are just simply the best. No mess, no fuss, no bs.
