I read something a ways back that CLP isn't all that its cracked up to be, especially after a few years of storage in a humid environment, if you're a kind of guy like me who can let a gun sit for years without shooting it. I've been using EWL Slip 2000 without any problems.

I have been using Rem oil.
It comes in a spray bottle too.
You can go on utube and find some extensive testing that guys have done using different products.

After getting a free sample at the Shot Show a few years back the only one I use now is QMAXX. QMAXX or one of the product lines are outstanding it even saved me a trip to Less Schaub to get a lug nut loose. I have roomers that the Canadian Military is also using the products. The other product I use a lot is Slip 2000.

Barricade and CorrosionX.

As mentioned in the "Barrel Rust" thread, www.shotgunworld.com has a GREAT thread on the true rust fighting ability of many lubricants.

One of he best metal protections is Renaissance wax or Museum wax.  RIG is also very good.

Mobil 1 full synthetic OW-20. Doesn't come in a spray but it stays on there. Great gun oil. I started using it a short while ago on the advice of a friend and won't be looking back. A Qt is about $10 and will last forever.

I thought this guys testing of 46 different products was interesting and informative. I've been using Hornady One shot.

Are you looking for scentless oil?

I used Break Free CLP for years but switched to ballistol a year or two ago.

I did recently see an ad for Amsoil firearm oil.  I might look into it after I run out of Ballistol.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.
