3/28 NWTF Hunter Heritage Banquet at Puyallup Fairgrounds
« on: February 20, 2009, 04:11:00 PM »
My chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is holding its annual Hunter Heritage Banquet March 28.  Proceeds from the banquet are used for conserving habitat, supporting wildlife management and promoting our hunting traditions.  Details of the banquet include the following:

Date/Time: March 28 - doors open at 4:30

Location: Puyallup fairgrounds, Expo Hall (accessed through the Gold Gate)

Cost: $60 (includes dinner a one-year membership to the NWTF)
$80 per couple (includes two dinners and one membership)
$15 per child (includes dinner and a JAKES membership)

Menu: To Be Determined

Agenda: Raffles, silent auctions, live auctions and a variety of games

Prizes: we will have a door prize (ticket included with paid admission), an "early bird" raffle (a chance to win $200 in raffle tickets for anyone paying before March 14) and so many sporting goods items that I can't begin to list here.  The "core package" (http://www.nwtf.org/special_events/CoreItems.php) we receive from National includes framed art, home furnishings, collectibles, wildlife sculptures, housewares and the 2009 NWTF Gun of the Year (a Winchester Super X3 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun).

In addition to our core package we have a huge variety of other donated items.  Some of the featured items include:

           - 26-gun gun safe
           - Matthews bow
           - several hunts, including a 10-day African safari for 4, donated by Steyn Caracal Safaris
(http://www.scssafaris.com/index.htm), and a guided youth spring turkey hunt that we will video tape for you!
           - Stoeger O/U 12 gauge shotgun
           - Mossberg 100ATR rifle in .270
           - Ruger Vaquero .45 pistol
           - H & R .410 shotgun
           - Browning Buckmark .22 pistol
           - Remington 700 in .300 Mag.
           - fully guided fishing trip for 4 from Mystical Legends Guide Service (http://riverfishin.com/)
           - custom turkey calls
           - autographed collectible turkey calls

Special Feature:  As a thank you to those who serve and protect us, we are inviting 32 Ft. Lewis veteran's who served in either Iraq or Afghanistan to our banquet.  They will receive an NWTF membership and a meal compliments of the NWTF! If you would like to help sponsor any soldiers, we will gladly accept any monetary donations for this cause.

If you are interested in attending the banquet, please print the attachment below, fill it out and send it in with payment.  Or you can send me a PM and I will make sure you get taken care of.

If you have items you would like to donate, please send me a PM with your contact information.  All donations are tax-deductible and much appreciated!

Any questions, feel free to post.

Thanks!

Just a reminder the deadline to be entered in the "Early Bird" raffle for a chance at $200 in raffle tickets at the banquet is March 14 so if that is an incentive for you, please sign up right away!  We will sell tickets to the dinner right up to the last minute but we like to get a headcount early for planning the meals, seating, etc.

A registration form is attached.  If you plan to attend, please send me a PM because I would like to meet you.  I can also save you a seat at my table, if you like.

Thanks!
