Friday morning may be too early for most to meet. especially the ones driving a fair amount of distance. We should defiantly get together for dinner Friday night. I was thinking about a spaghetti feed but it makes me nervous as I can only host about 15 people total. I know the Buzz in is close but there is also the roadhouse grill right across the street from the Best Western. Let me know what everyone thinks.

good idea. In any case I heard that Friday is going to be a huge presentation put on by the WDFW. Saturday is when we all get to say our piece. So a Friday night dinner might be better. Does the RoadHouse have a banquet hall? I know the Buzz Inn does and we could easily reserve it. It holds like 30 plus.

That would be fine but like I said I can only acoidate about 15 people!
The roadhouse is in an old Red Robin so there is no banquet room, but the palace also has a room we could probably reserve. I have never been real fond of the Buzz Inn. If there are fewer than 15 that committ to it I will do a spaghetti feed.

The palace isn't bad but it'd be nice to have a place where we can socialize a little more...
Or we could go to dinner first then head somewhere's an raise a lil hell! lol

I have word that Susan Yeager is working on the Agenda for the 6-7 meeting right now. It should be posted on the site
http://wdfw.wa.gov/commission/meetings.html
by noon tomorrow. It may be sooner but noon is the deadline.

Anybody know what they want to ask. For our Washington Sportsmen group I'm going to ask why the Native American's are not required to supply harvest data reports to the WDFW and how they can possibly hope to properly manage game without those reports if they don't know the effect they have on the herds.
Or Im going to ask why the tribes are allowed to hunt all year long off the reservations when the 1855 treaty says ......in common with the citizenry of the territory? I also need to get with that "Eyes in the Woods" guy and see if he'll help get us some pictures of Indian poachers.

Clockum, I'll back you up on that but can't provide much evidence... I also want to know their thinking behind lowering the archery tags in WA for Chelan CO yet keeping the rifle tags the same... seems like they want to BF the archers of this state...

I can't say anymore than this: Rumor has it that the Agenda won't be out until Tuesday now. Here is how it may go. Very brief description:
Friday
---Meeting opens at 8:30
Commision and director
Open to public
approx 11:00- Special seasons
Disabilities/opportunities
Hunter Ed
Small Game
Landowner Permits
Damage Prevention
Trapping Season & Regs
Big Game(sheep) & Wild Turkey
Closures & Boundary Regulations
Saturday
8:30 Non toxic Shot
9:30 - 9:45 Spring Black Bear
Moose & Big Horn Mt. Goat
10:30 Black Bear & Cougar
Equipment restrictions
Deer Special Permits
Elk Special Permits & Seasons
Very brief but I couldn't write fast enough to capture the rumors word by word.
It is rumored that this is what the Commission will approve. More detail on Tuesday 2/17.
On past Agendas it is stated that the public is only encouraged to comment on issues that are not on the agenda. I don't understand exactly how that works. Are they saying that the agenda items are already decided and not open for any further discussion?

I think that the revised proposals are supposed to come out next week sometime. Will be interesting to see what changes.
