I bought my wife a bear apprentice III recently and I must say, for an entry level kids/women's bow, it shoots very well.  I cranked it all the way up and all the way out and shot it quite a bit and was very impressed.  The grip is very nice.  Ordered it new off eBay and to my door step was $199 .  She is enjoying archery so will step her up next year to a carbon rose and shelf the bear till my daughter (6) can pull it.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

I like both the craze and the Diamond Infinite Edge. Decisions decisions. Thank you everyone for the input. Kid just wants to shoot. Especially when Dad is out shooting.

I got my 12 year old son the Hoyt Ignite. He loves it. He shoots competition and deer hunts with it. A great bow for a beginner with plenty of room for adjustment as they grow. Draw weight adjusts from 15-70 pounds. Draw length 15"-30". A well built quality product made in USA.
