Being in the car fixing business, at this point in my career it would take me more than 1 hand to count the number of fracked aftermarket aluminum wheels i have seen. If you ask me, it's usually the wrong application that the wheels are being used in that causes it to happen. Probably, they shouldn't sell those inferior wheels to fit on these big heavy trucks. I see an F350 with a 10' camper in the bed towing a boat rolling on some a/m aluminum wheels at 70 on I-90 over the pass and all I can think about are the cracks.

  I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Last weekend I saw a snugtop canopy on the side of the freeway.  I bet the thing had been leaking for a month or more it was so loose and finally just blew off.

Two Schwab wheels cracked. Bought a new one for $214 12 days ago. They wouldn't give me a warranty. In Montana at a field trial yesterday and another wheel cracked.

The wheels were put on by the previous owner so Schwab has told me to take a hike. Whatever you do, never buy anything from Schwab. They sell Chinese crap and their warranty is crap.

Why be upset, you didn't buy the wheels from them.  There not covered under any warranty.
Do you just want something for free?

This is a solid point. Usually warranty like this applies only to the purchaser and not subsequent owners.

 +1, I've spent a good deal of money at LS over the years, they have ALWAYS taken care of me.

 I've done some business at Discount and had good experience there as well.

 And FWIW, I've had $2400, Made In America wheels crack before, sh!t happens.

I loaded my blaze clothing into the passenger cabin on the truck because there was a half gallon of water in the bed under the canopy yesterday evening after it had only been being rained on for about two hours (it is parked in the parking garage all day while I am at work).   I wish I had taken a photograph of it.  Anyway I am going to deal with this Snugtop/Kanopy Kingdom disaster in the near future and it is not going to be something they are going to find any entertainment value in.

Exactly what I am talking about

Cast alloy wheels failure mechanism is more often than not due to cracking.  Forged alloy and steel wheel mechanism of failure is almost always deformation.

Back at ya' buddy, have a wonderful weekend but don't spend too much you have a taxidermy bill for a deer w/two glass eyes to pay for.   I really got a kick out of the daughter's deer story.

Bridget decided she wasn't ready for deer hunting yet (after I worked to get that Contender carbine set up w/7-30 Waters barrel for her), she wants to start with rockchuck shooting.  When she told me that she did remind me though that I am going to pay for her first deer to be mounted "w/two glass eyes."
