Waterfowl semo autos

This is the year I upgrade guns but I'm a little stuck on what to get.  My buddy loves his a5.  I like the feel of the Winchester sx3.  I'm not sure what the difference is really between gas vs inertia or the benifts of either or.  I'm not afraid to look at the "B" companies either.   Any other recommendations from people?

The SX3 is a great gun, my backup clays gun is a SX2. And they feel better to me.

I'll give a nod to the SX3.  I've put mine through the ringer in all types of conditions.  Dusty, muddy, wet, freezing conditions, it don't matter the thing just keeps on shooting.  They aren't the cheapest ones out there though.

I just got a SX3 waterfowl edition as my graduation from college gift. I love it! I upgraded from a benelli nova. Im excited to put it to the test this season.

Have owned and shot a Benelli and Browning, but sold them for an SX3.  No regrets either, the SX3 is a heck of a gun for the money.

Whichever shotgun you buy, I'd suggest a 28" barrel. If you want to be that guy that has to have the loudest gun in the blind then go for the 24" barrel. If you do upland birds then maybe a 26".

Good point, shorter barrels are loud, same for hunting ported shotguns.

I haven't had any problem with the escort I started shooting last season. But like with all semi autos gotta keep them clean

I have been shooting a Browning Silver for 7 plus years and love it, I am 90% sure it is the same insides as the Winchester SX3.  I am pretty sure Browning and Winchester are made in the same facilities now days.

I went with the Browning Maxus. Ejects the lightest dove loads all the way up to the heaviest waterfowl loads. Have not had an ejection failure. Comes with 3 chokes, and shims for the stock to lengthen if needed. I looked at all of them before I purchased, and fell for the Maxus. Great shotgun!
