I've got an old SBE, probably 20 yrs old. I upgraded to a Wolfe 25% extra heavy recoil spring. She still ejects dove loads without issues. I vote for SBE

I'm really interested in Remington v3. Can you elaborate. I have read it was supposed to come with shims but now I see it doesn't. Not a deal breaker but would be nice. I also like the sx3 but the v3 seems a little better maybe

I decided to switch to an auto loader two seasons ago. I managed to grab a stoeger m3000 for 500 out the door at Cabelas. I'm not big on shooting 3 1/2 loads, so it only being chambered in 3 isn't an issue. It has little to no recoil, has a shim kit for the stock which is AWESOME. Really helped get it to point right for me. Only issue I've had is my own fault. Trying to close the bolt quietly would keep it from seating all the way. Would only get a click because the firing pin wouldnt connect. The fix is to just let the bolt slam shut under spring power. Other than that, I'm pleased as can be with my purchase.

Don't pass up a good deal on a Beretta a300 or 400. Those guns can shoot. The a300 has been amazing and I have a very nice Belgium SX2 to compare it to. I was super surprised with that fact.

Inertia guns kick a little harder but generally have less moving parts and are easier to clean. They also tend to require less cleaning than gas guns. I will always recommend any of the benelli semi autos. Don't make a decision without shouldering and sbe2 or an m2. I also really like the feel of the Vinci, they just look like hell lol

The MOST important thing in choosing a shotgun is fit.  Handle and shoot all the guns you can get your hands on and pick the one that fits YOU the best.  They all make great semi auto guns now.  I have a Beretta Extrema 2 which is my go to, and a SX3 (backup/buddy gun).  I have shot literally 6 to 7 thousand rounds through my Extrema 2, only problem is replacing a $5 ejector pin and spring once.  I also recommend a 26" barrel if you hunt out of ground blinds.  It points quicker and contrary to what some say, isn't any louder than a 28".  That all depends on the direction they're pointed (with the exception of muzzle breaks).  Good luck on your choice.

D Rock, I shot a RH SBEII for 8 yrs without a hitch. Loved that gun. Bought a LH(no, 2 of them and had both sent back to Benelli). Can't get the LH models to function but I'd certainly recommend a RH model.

That said, I switched last season to a LH Beretta A400 and love it. Cleanest gas gun I've ever seen and shoots light trap loads up to 3.5" heavy turkey loads with the lightest recoil on the market. A hair less $ than an SBEII also. To be perfectly honest, it's a lot more gun for the money and I've got 0 regrets.
If ya get down this way, holler and you can shoot it out to TSC if ya want.

I haven't played with the V3 as much. It just showed up. I like the feel of it. I have had the V Max for a bunch of seasons. Live it. I expect the same out of the V3 platform.

Check out the Stoeger M series. Great bang for your buck. Have had one for years and zero jams or issues.
