saw bearpaw posted a link to a site that was selling 22 ammo and got me thinking....was out a couple weeks ago shooting and came across a few 50 round boxes of 22 lr ammo i have that are marked 99 cents....probably bought them back in the late 80's.  found a sealed box of federal 22 lr in a 550 round box with a sticker price of $11.50---i guess back in the day i should have invested in more precious metals (lead) !  just wondering what ammo you have with the original price stickers on them and any idea of when they were purchased...

I have 50 rnds 22 lr from K-mart 1.79 ana a box of 30 Springfield 1906 with Lubaloy. 20 rnds marked 1.50 from Sears and Roebuck.

Would rifle primers marked/dated that I bought in 1994 count or the pistol primers that were .90 a 100.
There are a few bricks of 22's that are 9.99

My parents gave me a Ruger Mark II for my high school graduation in 1981.  I still remember the first brick of 500 I bought was $7.99.  Ah, the good old days.

I swear we we're getting them just under 10 bucks at Walmart in the early 2000's then up to 21 or so. Haven't spent today's prices. Just crazy.

Have a box of 30-30 ammo western super X silvertips 170 grain for my first rifle. Price was $4.15 in 1967

I'm not even old and have a few bricks that were only 12 bucks...some of the best money I've ever spent was a flat of those

I have a few boxes of 30-30 that are Centennial '76 Silver Tips, also some old Kleenbore 30-30 and 25-35, no prices On them but well under $10 at that time. Also have some 30-06 from 1976-1979 that vary in price from around $8 up to $10. My grandpa would buy a box a year and hunt with it and then put it away. When I inherited his 1917 I got all the old ammo with it. All I have shot still works perfectly and I would like to shoot an elk with it on of these days for sentimental reasons.

Almost all my .22 from the old days has been shot by now

Well not ammo but i was runninh low on h4831 i got some from a friend that bought 100lbs when he got out of the army. They are all in sealed paper bags. Pretty cool to see.

It's painful to look at the price tags on .22 ammo. I still have a couple bricks with 6.99 price stickers.
