I have a 1903A3 in the gun safe that my uncle paid $20 for from the DCM.   I had a $9.99 7.62x54R at one time.  I bought that from Sears.

Here's an old school nugget.  At age 19 I bought a handgun from Herters thru the mail.  Sent a check and the mailman delivered it to the house.  Price was $47.95.

Back in '65 I was getting Remington for .59 a box of long rifle at the Wigwam store in Kent. I was also able to get a brick of Remington long rifle through the Tacoma Police Department for $5.00, if we happen to be in the neighborhood. The big problem was finding work when the beans and berrys were out of season.

I remember buying a brick (500) of .22 long rifle at the feed store in Bend Or for $5. Got a box of 30-30 somewhere that still has a price tag on it for $ 3.99

I used to reload with my dad probably 35+ years ago. Here are a couple items he recently gave me when he was cleaning out his stuff.
Target used to sell reloading stuff!

My grandpa used to have a spider monkey that would drink and smoke.
