Pe Elle/Jones Rd Permit on Weyerhauser land...Worth it?
« on: October 04, 2016, 08:05:36 AM »
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Pe Elle /Jones rd area of Weyerhaeuser at all for Deer/Elk. Its non motorized which would tell my there are still permits. truth is that I am from Idaho and am used to humping in. I'm kind of broken these days so I cant do the huge humps I used to, but I have a bike and cart so that's not a big deal. is it worth the permit to go there? Are there any animals in there?

Good amount of deer and elk, A lot of hoff rot. Last time I was in there couple years ago, very brushy and not a lot of clear cuts or reprod.

Most folks won't be posting places to hunt on a public forum, at least not good places to hunt...

You are in the right area, find some public land, there is lots there.  Download onxmaps, find the public land, find a few drainages you can crash brush through and you'll start to see animals.
I know I've lost it, let me know if you come across it
