Great e wash Quail hunting
« on: October 09, 2016, 04:55:53 PM »
I'll try to make this shorter than longer, but my wife and I had a great day and a half quail hunting... I usually go over with my dad and brother to the town my grandparents grew up in a few times a year but since i got married 3 years back my wife has enjoyed coming over as well... I actually think she just likes watching our young shorthair, Sherman the German (2 years old) and little setter Sage (1 yr old), more than hanging out with me haha i don't blame her because the boys have become pretty good bird dogs and they are sure fun to watch! We ended up getting 11 quail for Friday and Saturday morning, i should of easily got my limit both days but i tend to miss  :).. even Saturday morning on just one walk..it was also great to see my young setter get on his first birds for real! He found a couple quail for me and is definitely hooked! here are a couple pics.

Really like that first picture. I tried for quail on Friday but all we saw was pheasants! Good job getting on some birds

Beautiful pups!  I hope to get out shortly to chase the quail around.
