Beretta Oil Finish Stock Care
« on: September 30, 2016, 08:12:53 PM »
I noticed after a light rain that my 686 oil finish stock ended up with some water spots.  Is an oil finish not water repellent from the factory?  My only other wood stocked gun was a Browning with a gloss finish and I just used Johnson's Paste Wax on it, and the entire gun for that matter, and it was good to go.  I've read paste wax isn't good for an oil finish stock though, what do you guys use to provide a little more weather protection?

Thanks!
