Omak hunting
« on: October 03, 2016, 05:51:27 PM »
Hello everyone. This is my second year hunting and first year going solo. Went to colfax last year for opening modern firearm and didn't see any legal deer.
I'm thinking of heading over to omak to hunt near scotch creek wilderness area, but just found out that it all burned up last year. Does anyone have any recent info on that area?  Is it not even worth making the 4 hour drive?

Goldendale is much closer and full of deer (and hunters) so get there early and set up so first thing in the morning you are ready to go.

I hunt there every year, and even have a Late buck WT tag, and am considering not going.  The place needs to recover.

Area definitely needs a break!!
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
