Got it to open and was able to view at work.  That is certainly frustrating.  Hopefully you can catch them.

I agree too. It is a bummer and frustrating.  From what I saw, it definitely looks like smaller headlights; probably a quad. They were flickering and holding in one position. Because they felt bold enough to ride/drive on your property and not use a spot light that would follow the elk; they either A.) probably knew where the elk where before night came upon; and did not want to draw any attention from afar with throwing a spotlight around. Or B.) maybe were riding back or around and happened to pass by them and stopped to check it out.  The only beneficial thing is that you have a cam up; and maybe they do not know there is one there.  You could potentially move it or add more around your property. Plus, if you see people around riding quads that aren't from the area; just keep a strong eye out on them.  Good luck.

p.s.; do you know the Crosetto Family; they have property off of teanaway road near conner custom lumber?

That's where I was going. The light doesn't move at all to follow the critters. I'm thinking someone was driving by on their way to work and saw some critters and wanted a better look.

I have spent many years running spotlights and that sure does not seem like a spotlight beam. Super narrow and doesn't flood as big of area as most spotlights will even with a adjustable beam cranked down. I would guess maybe a flashlight. The flashing is weird looks like a strobe but does not seem to have a solid pattern to it like a strobe setting. Interesting for sure.

The meadow is inaccessible or viewable from any road. It is land locked by private, rolling meadows. I don't actively hunt the property because I feel like I'd waste to much time waiting for them to come to me, and only having 10 acres doesn't provide me enough room to really move around. Of course, if the buck of opportunity shows up next Saturday he's gonna get poked! I am gonna let wdfw know for sure as I feel like I've seen evidence of poaching up on lambert road which is fairly close to my place. My land is up hidden valley road, and not technically up  THE teannaway

It looks like a motion light went off. It is stationary and almost looks like another trail camera, with a light, was triggered. It is not a flashlight or being held by a human of any sorts. It is definitely attached to something stationary, whether it is that tree over there or an atv. Do you have any more video to go with this?

Ya, I'm thinking it's motion light attached to that small tree in the meadow.  I'd investigate that little tree see if something is hung on it.  It could be an older trail camera or a battery motion light.


It doesn't look like traditional "spotlighting" but it could still be something along those lines.  The light looks to be originating from that little tree rather then shining on it.
