117 elk?

Went for  hike yesterday up in 117.  Saw quite a few deer both Mulie and whitetail.  I saw a ton of elk scat but saw/heard zero elk. Is there many in this unit?  I was east of Deer lake covering 8 miles.  I also saw plenty of wolf and bear scat.  After seeing all the the wolf poo the grouse scared the ish out of me! anybody hunt the area?

you sure it was elk and not moose?  Seen a lot more moose around here than elk

Yeah not a ton of elk around there at all, lots of moose though!

Pretty sure it was elk? :dunno:.  Is there more elf further north towards 49* north?  Thanks in advance.
