I thought it was alive and feeding until I saw that the body extends upwards at the top of the picture.  It's dead for sure!
I almost thought someone shot it and it got up and ran away.  :chuckle:

Glad I wasn't the only one.

what time of year are you hunting there? are you running cams in late nov and december?
I hunt all seasons cuz I swap out my type of hunting.1 year total archery, next maybe half and half...or muzzy. I have my cams up all year and from late Dec to late Jan only have moose on the cams...or yotes. I have seen a couple big bucks through out the years but never had the opportunity to make any kind of shot. One day maybe

must be location, the property i hunted on over there they killed 130 inch deer on every year for a long time but in the last four years I am the only one to kill a mature buck (140'') from what I hear the deer are getting less and less every year. There are so many predators and so many hunters in that county...
