Hello,
I am new to this site, the state and bowhunting. I did little hunting as a kid, but after leaving the Army for College I picked it up and have become very passionate about it.
I did rifle and muzzleloader when I lived in Idaho for a few years with some success. Since moving to Washington a few years ago I have been attempting to bowhunt for whitetail and elk. I have been exploring all of the units nearby (49, Selkirk, Mt Spokane and Mica). I live in the south part of Spokane Valley so anything near Mica or Mt Spokane is the most convenient.
I have been backpacking/ hammocking for Early Elk and plan on hiking in/out this late season. I have recently started using a pop up ground blind for Whitetail. Planning on doing that this winter as well. Looking for a good spot to place my game camera now. Public land is slim pickings around here, about to start knocking on some doors.
I have a wife, a couple kids and one infant with a fulltime job, so lots of free time is hard to come by.
Am planning on spending time scouting. During the season I will most likely going to be a weekend warrier and try to get a few days off during the week.
I am a hard worker, good shot to 60yd and am in good shape for a 36yr old.
Beers and 420 is okay as long as it doesn't mess up our scent or getting up and out early.
I am also into Turkey hunting and fishing.
Let me know if anyone is interested in my plan or has a better one and wants to team up.
