So this maybe the dumbest question ever but it came to me today while I was in the middle of a clearcut scouting. So here is the question...
If you have the choice would you pee in a clearcut or closer to the road, does it matter?

My thought prosses was that if I pee in the middle of the clear cut I want to hunt that maybe the dear would keep there distance from that point... as a kid my mom always had me pee around the yard to keep the deer out. I now a clear cut is much larger but every little bit helps and we are down to leas than a week to go time can't wait!

From all the years of hiking and backpack along with hunting I have found it doesn't bother them.  Typically where I have gone pee, they deer or elk will go over to it and lick a hole into the ground.  Interesting stuff.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

He would sit down on porcelain to pee.

Pee wherever you want, doesnt matter at all.

Just be sure you don't get "kicked in the ice hole."

I remember that joke from when I was a kid.  I haven't heard it in 50 plus years

My grandmother told me that one back in the 70s. She was a pretty stern old broad but once in a while,... :chuckle:

During the high hunt we had deer in our camp at night  chewing up the ground where we were peeing.

I read an article on this very subject a few weeks ago.
The conclusion of it was that human urine is a mild deer attractant.

The reason hunters who put lot of time in treestands are successful is because at some point they peed out of stand thus attracting a deer..  :o

A friend of mine guides elk in MT. He turns 80 today. He says human pee has no negative effect on deer or elk.  :dunno:

I have a friend who is an awesome wildlife photographer and hunter and is also on this site, who puts up a rubbing post to attract big bucks. He has a game cam trained on it. One of the things he does to attract deer to the post is pee on it. He says it really works. Maybe he will chime in.
