Great late season antlerless hunt
« on: January 03, 2017, 01:17:23 AM »

With the help of some great people, and the cooperation of WDFW, I sure enjoyed a late-season cow elk hunt in the Malaga unit last week. The hunt was harder than I anticipated. Spent several days finding where the elk were not...

Finally located a herd on private property, and with permission, was able to hunt them. A 15 year old young man with us also had the same tag, and took his elk with a long shot from a .300 Weatherby. I followed up an hour or so later and took one with my .30-06 rifle. It was a great day. Been a long time since we've had elk steaks in my home. Really looking forward to serving good elk meat to my friends & family this year!

grats
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
