Badland packs
« on: October 11, 2016, 08:26:30 PM »
Finally bought the pack I've been wanting for a couple years but couldn't justify.
Bought the badland sacrifice. Never spent that on a pack, hope it's worth it.

Badlands are Good packs. I think you'll enjoy it. There are other options, however they are quite a bit more money.

I have spent some time looking at other packs, other brands.
It seems for what I do and how I'm built, this seemed to be the best bang for the buck.
Next year the girlfriend will get a new pack.

You will like the Sacrifice, very lightweight with good capacity, it has a lightweight frame so be cautious of heavy loads.
I just got a Diablo in the new Approach camo with the hypervent like the Sacrifice and really like it. It does not sweat
out your back. Lets see, I now have a old 2200, Superday, Sacrifice, and Diablo. Gear nut  Badlands will stand
behind any problem you ever have at any time, Great value for the buck.

The back vent system was a huge plus for me.
It seems capable of everything I want. I would like to get the bladder bag for it.

I really like my sacrifice.  It is a great pack with one problem.  It is the noisiest pack I have ever owned.  I have had it several years now.  Any several years ago I contacted badlands and they said send it back.  Well, I am finaly getting ready to send it back.  Not sure if they will honer the warranty but, kind of my fault for not sending back.  Kind of hard.  I don't use it during hunting season.  However,  it is great for short over night trips.

I've had a 2800 on my back for 5 years now and couldn't be happier.  I use it as a day pack as it only weighs about 5 pounds.  I've also taken 75 lb plus meat loads out on it with no problems.  I have heard great stories about their customer service but have never had to use it.  I have some of there clothing too and love it.

The sacrifice is a great pack. I have a dragonfly and my wife has the sacrifice and it seams like almost 1/2 the weight of mine and it does pack a good load

I've had my Superday for 6 or 7 years and have packed out a lot of game in it and on it. No problems!

I've had the Superday for many years. Never thought of it much as a game hauler, but a great day pack. How are you strapping on game? Any pictures?

I just packed a moose out with my 2800.  The only issue i have with it is cleaning the blood off when done.     You will love it.  Customer service is awesome too!  I had a broken buckle on my daypack.  I sent it in and they put a new one on at no cost.

I just picked up a Superday last weekend. So far I'm really impressed with it.

So if a buckle breaks you have to send the whole pack in?
It's good to hear that people are pleased with these packs.
I'm probably like most everyone, I've went through a bunch of cheaper packs before I finally ponied up.

Toyman, it depends on the buckle I would guess, if its not sewn in they will likely send you replacements, you can do yourself. Saves shipping the pack back and forth, and often they will send a couple spares   I have never had a Sacrifice, but a 4500, 2200, and Hypervent? They have a great no hassle warranty. Good luck and Congrats on the upgrade!

I have tried 2 of the badland packs and did not like either.  gave both away.  one was a medium oack with 20-25 small pockets and the other which I cant remember the name.  the straps were rigid and did not fit my shoulders properly.  they were both a bit heavy.  mike w

Depends on the buckle, they will send you replacement parts if it is a DYI fix.  If not, the turn around time for repairs is quick in my experience.  Two weeks ground shipping both ways.

I've had a superday for the last 7-8 years and like it. I especially like the built in holster for my pistol in the hip belt. The only thing I don't like  about it, is that you have to take it off to access the large hip belt pockets.. Other than that, this thing is bullet proof!
I had an older 4500 for a few years as well. Worked well, I just didn't like the lack of pockets. I sold it and am happy with its replacement.

Well I packed a quartered out deer in my Superday this weekend. I still don't think of it as much of a game hauler. LOL
