Hello, I'm a fur trapper from Alaska who has trapped in the interior for forty years. I have actively trapped most furbearers but mainly target wolves and marten now. I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed reading your posts and how much I admire you in adapting to your state's regulation regarding cage trapping. Trapping is not an easy venture to begin with using all of our tools much less being saddled with the restriction you have to deal with. It's great reading about your members who are actively supporting trapping and will ensure Washinton's future regarding furbearer management. Great forum and I hope to read more of your trapping adventures.

I send pictures to my email from my phone then save then on my email to my computer

:yeah:  can't wait to see and hear some stories from your trapline!  Id have more traps than Id know what to do with all the money I've spent on cage traps...lol

I use to run about a 150 mile trap line mainly  for marten but being an opportunist would not pass up wolverine, fox, lynx, otter or mink when I saw their sign.. I use a snowmachine and sled and had stayed in small line cabins or a tent. I have trapped in 40 degrees f to minus 50 below f. I've been through several fur market swings and have sold marten for twenty bucks to two hundred. So don't worry about the market, things will change for the better at sometime. I love getting out and if I ever win the lottery I would trap til it was all gone! A giant forest fire took my trap line a couple years ago and I've been trapping with my 35 yr old son now on a much shorter line. I Feel really blessed as he has turned into a pretty good wolf trapper and enjoys it as much as I do. As soon as I figure this picture posting out I will shoot you guys some pics. I don't have a computer all I have is this phone.

That's awesome!  I also ran a trap line in North Dakota in similar weather conditions! Currently living in Washington and the only fur I am putting up now are coyotes, hopefully their market holds like last year. Mine will all be shot dogs as I just cannot bring myself to conform to this states trapping laws, so I've given it up for the time being. I look forward to seeing your photos. SWEET love those pictures. Maybe you could come to Wa and weed out a few of our wolves!! When posting just read them into paint resize to 800 x 600 save it to a file and post. If they are to large in size they wont post. Thanks again for sharing
