Was the door or pan frozen? Did you trigger the trap to see
no nothing was froze. Tested it 3 times... Flawless.
You can see my trigger wires are huge. Idk how a cat could even touch the bait with out triggering the trap, it's very sensitive.  Door could not have been froze it had 1/2" clearance and all joints are heavily lubed with Vaseline along with the trigger and door latch, and locks. I'm at a loss. Hopefully it comes back tonight

Whenever anything is missing out of one of my traps I always blame it on the Civets.
And even if it wasn't a Civet they still get the blame.  :chuckle:

:chuckle:  I'm pretty sure we don't have civet around here but I'm fine with blaming them lol

Are you sure it's a mink?  Looks like a brown weasel.

im pretty sure. Had a white chin and throat and signature scream and smell lol if it was a brown weasel it would still get the pass.

I did have a brown long tail on this bait sight last year but snout was longer and slender and slightly larger ears. This one had a sort snout and small ears

@bigshooter now you got me thinking. That tail does look long for a mink , and has a dark tip.  Wish I would have taken more pics of it. Hmmmm

Nothing today. Only deer and weasel tracks everywhere I've been.  Almost 3' of powder right now with more on the way
