That comment's like a participation award for hunters right. :chuckle: That's why all that's in my picture is a belly buried in the ferns. ;)

@jkthomps, glad to see he finally layed down.  Nice buck!

Nice score Dave.  I thought you were going to bag that one in your driveway!    Wait a second!  Did you drag this guy from your driveway out into the woods for the photo???   :chuckle:

Seriously, nice buck man!

Now you got me curious about what isn't seen in your photo?

Thanks fishnfur, but that buck was originally posted by jkthomps.  It's his buck.  I was with him when he shot it.  I was commenting to jkthomps that it's nice to see that the deer finally laid down.  He was a stubborn one a very tough deer that gave me a new appreciation for blacktails!

My driveway deer is still making his rounds, looking for love!  I've been informed by my wife that he's "off limits"!  I'm still hunting, trying to fill my tag!

Don't worry, you will get a buck. Not much of a story to mine.

He was bedded in a depression just between his rump and the little stump behind him (bed still warm and dry). He offered a standing broadside shot when I saw him, dropped him where he stood. 4x4.
