I did a few searches on here and everything I found was for deer. I grew up hunting planted birds on Pennsylvania farms. Well to be honest I actually stocked birds with my Dad as well. He was a game warden at the time. I haven't been in the game for 20+ years but would like to at least get out to some open area and take a walk. Been running my pup on logging roads here in Western Washington looking for a grouse but no luck so far.
Anyone have input on hunting out Goldendale way? Not looking for any locations. I was looking at a couple places West of Goldendale and one place East of Goldendale that show as "Feel free to hunt" land and pheasant stocking locations. The only stocking places I'm familiar with are Vancouver Lake with is a complete crap show when that opens up. Is Goldendale a little calmer? Looks like lots of open land and room to spread out. Which is what I was hoping for.
Any input is greatly appreciated. I assure I will report back with any success with the new pup. I will be so proud I won't be able to not post!
