Nice buck bigbull!!!  We just couldn't seem to find any of those.  Spent a lot of time walking the escapement areas too.  Did you find him in timber or clear cut??
yeah, I was in the escapement areas as well, nobody was in the one I was in on Monday.  Can't believe I didn't see a deer!

Brother hunted the Eatonville side. Was the slowest season to date and last year wasn't great either. He talked to security on the way out Sunday and only one harvest report had been turned in on the last weekend. If it wasn't for the chance at a big bull Hancock isn't worth the money. I haven't bought a pass in years.

We went 2for3 since Friday, my daughter shot a spike x 2pt it was an awesome day and then Monday morning in the monsoon my cousin went one way on the mountain and I went the other way, we were the big timber, can't stand clear cuts, but we made it about an hour before my cousin drew the lucky direction, he whacked a 2 x 3 with an eye guard on the 3 pt side, it was wet but it sure beat working and boy did I chow down Monday evening on some back straps, fried potatoes, pepper bacon and grilled onions..

dude you shouldn't even be allowed to hunt blacktail, they seem to get under your skin, is the stress really worth it?? And how many years has it been since I have shot one? How many do I let walk every year? I just love playing the blacktail game, it's what's addicting and there is no better sport out there yafa!! I do hear muleys and whiteys calling your name though  :chuckle:

My buddy shot this 2x1 on Saturday at about 615, he text me 2pt down. So I went and found him and his wife and helped him pack the rest of the way to his truck in the dark. Really wierd spike, he must have damaged it when it was in velvet.

After hunting hard for 7 days and not putting antlers on a single deer, a spike with 6" spikes stepped out on my drive out at last light, 6:20 on the 24th. This deers stomach was already totally packed full of feed.
Windy and rainy weather all afternoon.

Shot a 2x2 Monday morning in the sideways wind and rain. I just knew getting soaked was gonna pay off an sure enough after 20+ minutes I was rewarded. the deer were moving Sunday and Monday in the area we were focusing on.

I got a nice 3x3 on the 20th with my 4 yrs old boy right next to me for his first experience of a kill.  That morning I heard 3 shots close to me in 3 different directions, there were 3 other guys filling out harvest cards.  And I saw the biggest 4pt I've ever seen up there in the middle of the road at 9 am on my way out.  Just my luck.  But I was pretty happy with my 3x3 and awesome to show my son what it's all about.  Can't figure out how to post a pic of him.
