It seems I need to get out of my brother wapitihunters shadow! Every year at elk camp all of us agree that no matter what just don't let my brother kill an elk!  It never worked!

My first and only elk kill was a cow about 5 years back with my bow. Ive spent the last 4 years chasing bulls with my bow, some close calls, but no sealed deals.

I answered big bull but truly have never killed what I term a "big" bull.  Just 4x4s, 5x5s sub 250 stuff.

And unfortunately shot and not recovered, 5-6x6     
Also had some dandy bulls, (9or10) in range but could not seal the deal, one 7x7 that was easily over 350.

I was looking at the poll and someone has no desire to get an elk.   Wow, you don't know what your missing.  The meat is superior and chasing elk is the most exhilarating thing in the world! Especially during the rut. I live for it.
