My 2015 Kettle Range bull was only 6 years old.

Montanajoe you need to take that to the head and horn competition definitely a prize winner and a top 5  record book bull. 175+ is my rough guess

Word of caution as far as wdfw tooth aging.  A neighbor if mine killed a real nice mature black bear boar.  Easy 350lb animal if not larger, im being conservative.  Wdfw said 2 years old.  No effing way, not a chance.

These are rough guess estimates from picture

55 wide 32 palms 11 wide 9 point per side 7 inch girth

55+32+32+11+11+9+9+7+7= 173 give or take

But the palms could easily be 25 or 26 and then he's a great 160s bull. Either was a true stud bull at 6 years old. A 55 wide shiras is just amazing.

My grandfathers 2013 Selkirk bull was heavy based and slim palms, 12 years old and tough as shoe leather for eating.

The two biggest Bulls I have heard of so far were 6 years old.  Must be something to that. Maybe 6 or 7 is prime age. Just a guess

5.5 or what most people call 6 is what is considered prime.   Like any other deer, the next couple years are solid.  I like the extra mass.  I see the best racks in about the 8 to 9 year olds, then the palmation starts disappearing and they get some gnarly long points.

Mine was 4 years old, and the oldest bull I saw on the 2015 Wyoming moose state wide tooth age list was 10 years old.  I'm guessing that they don't live much longer than that.

Just got off the phone with the BIO in Spokane and my cow was 11 1/2 years old.  She was collared and ear tagged and they were keeping tabs on her.  Pretty cool.  She had travelled quite some distance from where she had been collared, probably 20 miles or so.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
