Flying over November 10th-14th to try and get my son his first buck. then coming home and
then driving over the 16th -22nd to try and find myself a buck.

I went over on October 8th and killed a decent antelope buck. Wish I had a deer tag but didn't get one this year. I'll be back next year! Good luck to everyone.

I hunted archery deer and antelope in late September, but didn't fill a tag.  I'd love to go back for modern for a few days, but don't have time to head to the SE part of the state.  Don't know where else to go in the western MT.  Good luck to everyone on their upcoming hunts!

theres tons of places to shoot a whitetail in western Montana.

I know there is plenty of game, but I've not done the research.  Finding public land with access and good numbers takes some time and I've not yet even started looking into it.  Maybe I'll be more prepared next year, but hopefully I'll get my buck during my archery trip and won't have to worry about modern!

I just got back from a trip. I did 3 trips to Montana this year, two trips for elk and a trip for mule deer. Harvested an elk on day 11 and mule deer a few hours into the hunt. The mule deer are rutting like crazy, whitetail had not started rutting yet where I was as of yesterday.

Any recent reports on Western Montana?  I'm trying to figure out if I should go next weekend or Thanksgiving weekend.  Hoping to catch the whitetail rut.

I'm heading out tomorrow morning for a week of whitetail. supposed to snow a little weds. But it's been too warm as everyone knows. I'll b hunting the swampier areas. been picking on 130 and 140 bucks.. we'll see.
