I have 10x32 EL's, 10x42 EL's, and 15x56 SLC. They are all great. When you are talking about glass that is this close in comparison nobody can make the decision for you. You need to compare them yourself.

I'll add one more thing (and you may already do this) but regardless of what you go with, put em on a tri-pod to maximize their potential👍

I have the Swarovski 10 x 42 EL, The 15x 56 SLC and 2 pair of the Leica Geovid's. I like them all. The 15x56 Bino's need to be stabilized. Strong magnification for handheld. The Leica is much better for clarity and brightness as well as a built in range finder that goes to 2000 yds. I find myself and my brother using the Leica more than the Swarovski.  Just saying

This is an absolute must when you are trying to decide betw the SLC or the EL.  You may be one of the people that cannot pan with an EL or a Nikon EDG or other binocular that incorporates field flattener lenses in their design without feeling sea sick.  It does not effect me in the least, but I have personal acquaintances who simply cannot use them without this being an issue.

I had it explained to me by one of them as something like someone who cilantro tastes like soap to trying to tell someone who is not effected what that is all about when they just don't experience it.

Thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciated. I ended up getting a set of els from a forum member, can't wait to put them to use. Amazing the clarity from my old set of beat up nikons. Again thanks.
