Interesting thread. Bummer that I missed all the deleted posts! Apparently its only a misdemeanor and if no prior criminal history this case would most likely resolve with a deal that allows him to eventually get the case dismissed. Thus, no surprise he got the antlers back.

I followed this thread when it came out. Did they now decide it was there was not trespassing to harvest this bull?

In the three cases that I have caught trespassers, one with a nice buck I decided to go with a watering in their record. All three were pretty much squeaky clean. One did have a failure to use a barbless hook ticket. My thought was if they had a record of trespassing toss the book at them. Since they didn’t just a warning in their file. If they clean up their act great, if they reoffend hammer them. Maybe the land owner after some time softened up and asked the prosecutor to back off. :dunno:
