I would just like to hear something from the OP, but I'm guessing he has been instructed otherwise by now.
Pretty sure you are correct about him being advised to not say anything more.  I don't have any personal knowledge of that but I wouldn't say anything if it were me.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Apparently you haven't read the entire thread and seen the pics posted with GPS co-ordinates and the picture of the harvest location being located on private ground. I'd guess more will come out in due time.

------

Hmmm, I seem to remember a fairly recent case where a bull was MOVED before it was field dressed.  I'm sure pictures with the location stamp were taken there as well.

For those of you searching for "facts", you won't find any on here.  You will find speculation and second hand accounts (at BEST, second hand), so just chill out with your "forum investigation" and wait for a report about this incident from a trusted source, not some nameless, faceless forum poster.

If you are entertained by useless speculation, just go read the Bullwinkle thread.  See how many FACTS came out of thousands of posts on that thread.
There are no "facts" on this forum.

The facts are that the OP said it was shot on state land, then corrected to national forest.  The pictures he posted show the elk on private land.

95% of everything I say is true.  That's a fact, Jack!

And yes, "He's dead".

There was a 50% chance I would say something rude about the forum lawyers.

The only problem with your sarcasm towards the Bullwinkle thread is that that majority were right. That does not support your theory of useless speculation when it was actually true in the end??? How bout this time on this thread you could let those who have the knowledge of the incident speak without your cynicism.  :dunno:

The GPS coordinates embedded in the pictures are facts. Take the coordinates and those facts put the dead bull on private property. The FACT that nobody in the hunting party is posting that they had permission to kill that bull on private property is troublesome. If it was a good, clean, legal kill, I would think the landowner, "guide" FIL and SIL would have posted on here that it was all good. To make sure there was no more questions left to ask, all 4 would be posing for a pic with the rack.

What did we get? Some guys father who wasn't on the hunt telling us how wonderful his son is. I think we are all well aware of the status of the investigation by now. We should be hearing something from WDFW in the future.
