What upgrades are you doing to your sidekick/tracker? A couple of our club members have them, and our club president just got done with a mild build to make it the perfect around town/hunting rig. Bumpers mild lift tires winch...
Nothing wild at all (although like everything else you can go wild with these rigs, toy axles and other stuff $$$$).
Going to add a spacer lift of 1.5 or 2 inches but want to avoid cv problems so not sure which yet, maybe also a 1inch body lift but i am not a big fan of body lifts, LT235/75r15 tires so a little bigger than stock (205/75r15) but still driveable and easy on drivetrain, rear hitch for a basket and slide in winch, i have to make a front mount to slide in the winch when needed, some lights, maybe a roof rack and some under vehicle skid plates/armor. Might ad a locker but not sure yet, it is a budget build.

it is basically our sidebyside, the kids told me we needed a sidebyside and i told them we already have one that has a heater, wipers and is fully inclosed  :chuckle:

I was surprised where with good driving skills i could take this rig stock.
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

No road hunting, jeez you deplorables...

Like i said in the original post, upgrades for off road, so it will be used for off road hunting  :chuckle:

My bad, I just re read your post, I missed that you wanted something "less" controversial.  Woodchuck and I were trying to stir the pot and give you more controversy.  Jackelope just likes to make fun of my jacked up truck. :chuckle:

I don't own one but the sweet spot on those is 2" or less 30" tires good bumpers front and rear to attach winches and pull points. One buddy has developed a frame drop and stretch to gain about 4" of lift and move the axle forward a couple inches keeping all stock gear. It's pretty impressive but not a bolt on project. If your gona keep this as a commuter / side by side I'd go with 2 sets of tires on wheels.

Man you guys are hurting my feelings. I drive a 4x4 that spends more time off road than on and I don't even consider myself a road hunter. However, I switched to white letters out on my last set, it kind of felt like a throw back to my old '77 Chevy - I wish I still had that pickup, with it's raised white letter tires glistening with Armor All.

If you don't drive fire roads, and worse, the raised white letters may not get scrubbed off and it is mox nix, but if you want the pickup to look like it has never seen a fire road, and you go way back in before piling out for a hike... have them mounted raised white letters in.

My Toyos don't even have a white letter side , same with the Interco's  on my Jeep and the Michelins on the wife's Jeep. White letters look good till the first mud puddle , then they stain.

I bet most here don't even know what a white pen is used for if they saw it in a garage. Probably think its used for writing on metal or something. Bleach-white...

I was black out on my last four rigs. Just replaced my coopers with an new set of BFG A/T KOs last week after a major blowout.
My Dakota is white with all the accents blacked out, the white letters out look pretty darn good compared to the black out on this truck.
